Your mission
Circu Li-ion is accelerating the green revolution by maximizing the lifetime of each battery cell. We design and build automated machines that disassemble lithium-ion battery packs, which reached their first End-of-Life, to recover good cells. With the good cells, we will build second-life CO2-neutral battery packs.

As a robotics engineer, you are responsible for developing applications that automate the disassembly of battery packs for upcycling cells and other components. The product team at Circu Li-ion is looking for a highly motivated robotics engineer to work with cobots, industrial robots, end-effectors, sensors, and PLC for the development of our cutting-edge battery disassembly line. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development of our new product portfolio. Circu Li-ion is a fast-paced environment where you will work with a cross-functional team on an incredibly exciting product. 
  • Offline and online programming cobots/industrial robots for automated disassembly tasks 
  • Develop, design, and test new end-effectors with the mechanical engineering team 
  • Participate in the entire product development cycle, conceptual development, design, and feasibility while carefully       balancing product specifications, process requirements, cost, and component lead time
  • Perform and report feasibility analysis of robotic disassembly tasks 
  • Research, present and introduce advanced robotics software to different teams 
  • Selection and implementation of sensors to optimize robotics tasks  
  • Assisting the training of AI models to optimize specific robot tasks 
Your profile
  • BSc/MSc Robotic Engineering (or equivalent –Mechatronic Engineering or Software Engineering, etc.) 
  • Creative and self-motivating with the ability to understand and divide a vision into prioritized tasks. 
  • Has the ability to interpret technical specifications and/or requirements.  
  • Exposure to programming robots online and offline (e.g. ABB, UR, are the primary brands used in the factory) 
  • Understanding of PLC, networking protocols and technologies. 
  • Experience in software programming (C++ and/or Python is a plus).  
  • Good to have: Proficiency with CAD (e.g. AutoCAD, SolidWorks, etc) 
  • Some experience with machine vision integrations and machine learning models is a plus
