We at Circu Li-Ion fight the climate crisis by maximising the lifecycle of each li-ion cell. Used batteries are a true
resource – more than 80% of battery cells can be recovered when a battery is at the end of its first life, while at the same time significantly reducing CO2 pollution. This means less waste, saving CO2 and using our resources to
their full potential.
We have designed a machine to extract and diagnose each li-ion cell in an automated manner from their battery
packs and enable their re-usage. Our process sets new technological and ecological standards, closing the loop
and fully enabling the circular economy in the battery industry.
The role
Circu Li-ion is revolutionizing Li-ion upcycling through automated battery disassembly lines designed to upcycle all Li-ion cells. We are currently seeking a highly experienced Lead Engineer with a track record of designing complex mechanical assemblies at scale and excellent project management skills. In this role, you will directly work with our CTO to manage the engineering team and external partners, driving functional excellence and innovation. - Lead the automation and mechanical engineering team
- Demonstrate a practical approach by being involved in both programming and machine design
- Manage projects from machine concepts to commissioning, including battery disassembly deployment
- Prioritize and coordinate mechanical engineering work across all projects
- Guide technical execution of the team using engineering first principles
- Expand the mechanical engineering team through hiring, motivating, appraising, coaching, training, and challenging team members
- Determine required resources/capabilities for program/project execution and build the team accordingly
- Provide tasks and durations to project/program managers and oversee execution of mechanical engineering team
