The role

We are seeking a skilled Senior Cloud Engineer to lead, manage, and enhance our cloud infrastructure while integrating our on-premises systems with cloud environments. You will ensure tasks are delivered on time, within budget and with high standards. Excellent organizational, communication, and collaboration skills are required for this exciting role.

You will play a critical role in ensuring the success of our data and infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities

Design, implement, and manage scalable, secure cloud infrastructure across major platforms.
Automate cloud provisioning and management using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools.
Ensure cloud security best practices, including access control, encryption, and compliance with relevant regulations.
Optimize cloud resource usage for cost efficiency and high performance, monitoring infrastructure health and resolving issues.
Lead cloud migration initiatives, integrating third-party services and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Your profile

Must-have qualifications:

At least 4 years of experience as a Cloud Engineer, Cloud Architect or similar role.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Proficiency in one or more major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform).
Deep knowledge of designing scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud architectures.
Familiarity with serverless architectures and technologies like AWS Lambda, Azure Functions, or Google Cloud Functions.
Experience with IaC tools such as Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, or Azure Resource Manager (ARM templates).
Expertise in securing cloud environments, including IAM (Identity and Access Management), encryption, and secure networking.
In-depth knowledge of cloud networking concepts such as VPNs, subnets, and hybrid cloud architecture.
Experience leading cloud engineering teams, mentoring junior engineers, and ensuring best practices are followed.

Nice-to-have qualifications:

Expertise in containerization technologies (Docker) and container orchestration (Kubernetes, ECS, EKS, GKE).
Experience with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI) and automation frameworks for cloud deployments.
Strong analytical skills for diagnosing and solving complex cloud infrastructure issues.
Experience working in hybrid cloud or multi-cloud environments (e.g., AWS + Azure or AWS + GCP).
Familiarity with edge computing principles, especially as they relate to cloud-based systems.
