Circu Li-ion is driving the green revolution by reusing batteries through our cutting-edge automated battery disassembly lines. We offer this technology as a service model to recyclers, micromobility & automotive OEMs. Our vision is to deploy the battery disassembly lines in a hub and spoke model around the globe to disassemble Li-ion battery packs into reusable Li-ion cells or modules, minimizing waste and maximizing sustainability. By upcycling these cells and modules into second-life CO2-neutral battery packs, we are revolutionizing the way batteries are reused.

THE ROLE 

At Circu Li-Ion, we're in search of an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join our Engineering team. The primary responsibility of the Electrical Design Engineer is to design, develop, and improve electrical systems and components for our advanced battery disassembly processes. This includes power distribution systems, control systems, lighting, and wiring in addition to overseeing the manufacturing of electrical equipment. Engaging in this role offers a thrilling opportunity to contribute to the creation of a new disassembly plant from the ground up and to be an integral part of the Circu Li-Ion mission. Circu Li-ion provides a fast-paced work environment where you will collaborate with a cross-functional team on an incredibly innovative product. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 
 

• Lead the electrical design for automated machinery and systems, focusing on, quality, efficiency, and safety. 
• Develop detailed electrical system schematics, layout plans, documents, and diagrams in accordance with standards and requirements. 
• Work closely with the automation team to integrate electrical designs with automation controls and systems. 
• Select and specify electrical components, materials, and systems that meet safety standards and project requirements. 
• Collaborate with mechanical engineers and other team members to ensure integration of electrical systems with mechanical components. 
• Provide technical support for electrical systems to installation teams during assembly, commissioning, and troubleshooting phases. 
• Ensure compliance with all relevant national and international electrical standards and regulations. 
• Manage projects from design through to deployment, including planning, budgeting, and timeline management. 
• Mentor junior engineers and technicians, providing guidance and support in electrical design principles and practices. 
• Engage in continuous learning to stay updated of new technology and industry trends.
