WHY THIS ROLE?

Currently, we're looking for a Robotics Engineering intern to join our team and help us revolutionize the opening of power tool, micro-mobility, and electric vehicle batteries using robot arms. As an intern in this role, you'll be responsible for planning, organizing, coordinating, and implementing new strategies to safely and efficiently open these batteries to increase the battery library. Working alongside our skilled and diverse engineering team, you'll have the opportunity to tackle complex technical challenges and contribute to our cutting-edge technology.

- Conduct DoE (design of experiments) to select optimal process parameters for opening battery packs
- Perform tests (milling, drilling, cutting, unscrewing) on battery packs
- Create an innovative pipeline for battery disassembly process
- Debug and operate robot code on various platforms (e.g. ABB, UR)
- Develop concepts for designing robotics system elements to open battery packs *
- Identify battery pack components, understand their functions, and safely remove them
- Troubleshoot issues that may occur during battery pack opening and cell block extraction.
